Background
Muslim Community Center of Detroit grew out of a community of Muslims of Nigerian descent. We started organizing Dawah and Dhikr sessions at member houses on a rotational basis until we p8rchased our first property, a single family home which we converted to a Masjid in 2001 in the city of Detroit. The Masjid was incorporated in 2001. In 2007 we were approved as a non-profit organization (a 501 (3) (C) entity) by the IRS
