Iftar & Taraweeh Prayer during Ramadan
At sunset, each person partakes in the breaking of their fast (Iftar). The mosque does a congregational iftar service provided by member families. The Taraweeh prayer is offered after Ishai. It involves reading long portions of the Qur’an while performing several rakats of prayer. It is offered the night before the first fasting is to begin; usually on the first Moon-sighted evening.You may eat and drink until you see the light of dawn breaking the darkness of night, then complete the fast until nightfall.
